Your tasks

  • Bridge builder: You act as a central interface between IT and the various departments of our client to create a common understanding of requirements and solutions.

  • Process optimizer: You analyze existing business processes in detail, identify weaknesses and uncover optimization potential in the interaction of IT systems and physical resources.

  • Data expert: You check and analyze business data for its technical accuracy, thus laying the foundation for smooth and efficient railway operations.

  • Innovator & Requirements Engineer: You are responsible for the conception, detailed documentation and clear communication of requirements for future-proof IT solutions that optimally support business processes.

  • Subject matter expert & catalyst: As a recognized subject matter expert, you will be responsible for the overarching support and active development of important specialist topics within the company.


Job requirements

Your skills

  • Initial experience in supervising junior business analysts and the ability to coordinate a team of business analysts.

  • Experience in the role of Proxy PO or Epic Owner in the SAFe environment.

  • Knowledge in the field of IT architecture and ideally a corresponding certification (ISAQB, TOGAF).

  • Experience in the conception and execution of proof of concepts in the software field using low-code programming tools.

  • Experience with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory. Knowledge of GIS systems.

  • Experience in creating test cases.

  • Experience in the application of AI tools to support business processes and in software engineering.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university studies in business informatics, business administration, computer science or a comparable qualification and at least 5 years of experience as a business analyst.

  • Enthusiasm for complex issues and an exceptionally quick grasp of concepts that enables you to quickly familiarize yourself with the specific requirements of the railway sector – ideally, you already have industry knowledge.

  • Solid knowledge and several years of experience in business process analysis and requirements engineering, ideally demonstrated by an IREB, CBAP or a comparable certification.

  • Practical experience in model-based working methods using BPMN and UML.

  • Expertise in analyzing and modeling data using common business intelligence tools, SQL or Python scripts to generate reusable, complex queries for business analyses.

  • High motivation, strong stamina and resilience to achieve excellent results even in demanding situations. Independent, structured and reliable work ethic.

  • Sovereign action both at the detail level (e.g., defining product interfaces based on input data structures) and at the strategic level (e.g., presenting end-to-end target processes across different products).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German (C2 level) and very good English skills (C1 level) for conveying complex information to different stakeholders in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.

  • Willingness to commit to a longer-term project assignment (3-5 years) at our client's site.
