We are currently looking for an experienced SAP Release & Change Manager to take ownership of release planning, change coordination and deployment governance within a complex SAP environment.

In this role, you will ensure that business enhancements, technical changes and ongoing maintenance activities are delivered in a structured, reliable and controlled manner. You will coordinate multiple teams and workstreams across a dual-track landscape, balancing project delivery with operational stability.

Combining strong SAP technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless deployments, minimising operational risks and maintaining consistency across the entire system landscape.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Release Strategy & Planning: Establish and maintain release schedules, coordinate delivery teams and manage dependencies across parallel development and maintenance activities.

  • Deployment Readiness: Ensure that technical prerequisites, functional requirements, testing activities and release documentation are complete before each deployment.

  • SAP Transport Governance: Coordinate transport movements across development, testing, pre-production and production systems, ensuring correct sequencing and consistency throughout the landscape.

  • Conflict Prevention & Resolution: Identify transport conflicts, assess potential downgrade risks and apply appropriate controls, including CSOL and DGP mechanisms, to safeguard system integrity.

  • Release Governance & Decision-Making: Prepare and facilitate release boards, Go/No-Go sessions and governance meetings, providing stakeholders with the information required to make timely decisions.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central interface between SAP technical teams, functional specialists, project stakeholders and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of release activities.

  • Cutover & Deployment Execution: Coordinate go-live activities, monitor progress, manage unexpected issues and remove blockers during critical deployment windows.

  • Post-Implementation Management: Oversee stabilisation activities, coordinate follow-up actions, monitor release KPIs and prepare status reports to support continuous improvement.

  • Lifecycle & Change Management: Maintain and support release workflows, technical changes and governance processes using SAP Solution Manager with ChaRM or SAP Cloud ALM.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Extensive professional experience in SAP Release Management, Change Management and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

  • Strong technical understanding of SAP transport management, including STMS, transport requests, import queues, sequencing and inter-system dependencies.

  • Proven experience working with dual-track SAP landscapes, managing parallel project delivery and operational maintenance.

  • Practical knowledge of transport conflict prevention and resolution, particularly CSOL (Cross-System Object Lock) and DGP (Downgrade Protection).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and ChaRM or SAP Cloud ALM. Relevant certifications are considered an advantage.

  • Experience managing SAP deployments in hybrid environments involving cloud-based and on-premise systems.

  • Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP standards and enterprise system landscapes.

  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for planning, documentation and collaboration.

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, assess risks and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, structured approach when handling time-critical deployments and cutover activities.

  • Professional fluency in French is essential.

  • Willingness to work on-site at least three days per week during the first three months to support onboarding and knowledge transfer. Remote access is restricted to Switzerland and eligible French border regions.

Benefits & Culture

  • High-impact role: Take ownership of critical release processes within a sophisticated SAP environment.

  • Long-term opportunity: Join an engagement planned through December 2029, with annual renewal options.

  • Professional collaboration: Work alongside experienced SAP professionals and stakeholders across technical, functional and operational disciplines.

  • Continuous development: Deepen your expertise in SAP S/4HANA, transport governance, release automation and modern ALM practices.

  • Structured yet dynamic environment: Help improve release processes, strengthen governance and contribute to reliable business-critical deployments.

  • Hybrid flexibility: Benefit from a combination of on-site collaboration and remote working, subject to the engagement's requirements.

If you are a senior SAP professional who enjoys coordinating complex releases, managing technical dependencies and ensuring reliable deployments across multiple system landscapes, we would be delighted to hear from you.
